Wemos D1 mini 3.0.0. So I have a Wemos D1 v3.0.0 and it appears to not talk to the unit at all. It is connected and on, it reports to HA fine but when I change things nothing happens. The logs are clean. I triple checked the TX and RX wires so not sure what is up… I do not have any resistors on it, just straight to the board like others.
I have tried a D1 Mini and a NodeMCU and can't get either of them to connect to my Wifi. The D1 was part of another (working) project and i grabbed it for this thinking i was doing something wrong with the Node. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get them connecting to my Wifi. I'm using the built in examples from the ESP8266 board library

Longtime User. Mar 4, 2019. #1. run into a problem with WEMOS D1 and B4R Version 2.51. Same results if the WEMOS D1 is supply by external power or USB. Uploading the a program let the LED blinking runs as expected. Starting the AP or searching for networks does not work any longer. The AP of the WEMOS is not listed now.
Now, I’m trying to use this board with Visual Studio Code and PlatformIO . However, the only boards that exist in PIO with 8266 is Wemos D1 Mini Lite & Wemos D1 Mini Pro. Neither has the same specs as my card as per above. Lite has 1 MB flash and 80 kB RAM. My platformio.ini: [env:d1_mini_pro] platform = espressif8266 board = d1_mini_pro
